Hot Stone Steak and Sushi Bar is a hidden gem in Islington. It is one of the only handful of restaurants in the whole UK to serve fresh Japanese Wasabi, and certified Kobe beef.
Each diner is given a very hot piece of lava stone that we then used to cook a range of meat and prawns exactly to our liking, with options including sirloin steak, salmon, tuna and what should be some pretty special A5 Japanese wagyu beef. But it’s not just about the surf and turf – the menu goes big on sushi, sashimi, nigiri and maki too, plus plenty of sides including kimchi, yasai salad and horenso gomaae – a Japanese spinach salad with sesame dressing. Our Executive Head Chef, Padam Raj Rai was the former head sushi chef at Tsukiji restaurant, located in the 5-star Westbury Hotel in Mayfair. With over 17 years of experience in Japanese cuisine, and having worked in the kitchens of Nobu, Zuma and Sake no Hana, his knowledge and experience bring the magic of Hot Stone to life.
